Why Bordoodles?

Let's start with the fact that a Border Collie was the type of dog we had always wanted. When looking for a breeder we found a wonderful Bordoodle Breeder who has become WONDERFUL friend and mentor to us. We LOVED the idea of combining these two breeds and so that's how we settled on a Bordoodle. Then we found our amazing Sonic from another great breeder and the idea of breeding came to light. We never thought we would be poodle people but when Andrea found Sage, we knew she was a must. Who did we have first? Sadie was our first dog and we got her in July of 2020. Sonic was next and he came to us in October of 2020. Sage was a "Oh we have to have her" and that was in March of 2022. Next was taking the proper steps to ethical breeding.

We researched and followed several Doodle breeders and began learning what was the best way to go about this.  We knew that it was unconventional to breed back to the Border Collie but that was one way we knew we wanted to breed. Also, other Doodle breeders had done this successfully. We didn't know if there would be a huge response to our F1b Reverses but we have been pleasantly surprised at how many do in fact LOVE the concept. So, when Sadie and Sonic's results came back clear, we began the process. Then the trouble began. We truly fell in love with breeding and the joy we share with the new families when they're placed with one of our puppies. Once we began we have since tried to improve our process with every litter. We are learning and growing and striving for more excellence.

Our love for breeding has taken on a new endeavor and a new partnership as Dave, Andrea's brother and his family, have joined us. So welcome with us the Wojnicki Family.

Dave is Andrea's older brother and also lives in Southern California very close to Andrea and Brian's home. Their home is on just under 2.5 acres where Scout, Georgia, and Penny all run free. Dave and Hannah have 3 girls and home school 2 while the oldest is away at college. The saying Family is everything is no understatement when it comes to our whole family. We do so much of life together and ask anyone that knows us, we love it! The cousins love being together as much as they can and so do the siblings. It was only natural that we would participate in this part of life together too!

Penny was their first dog-a Lab mix. After diving in full force with Penny their love for dogs grew. After their two oldest daughters were there for the birth of Sadie's first litter. Their family was over offer to visit and help with the puppies. They truly loved on our puppies like we did. So, the next litter Hannah helped in the care of the puppies. It wasn't suprising when they said they wanted to breed with us. We have spent the last year discussing where to start and what this will look like. So, after having Penny for a whole year they decided to get Sadie's sister from another litter, Scout. It wasn't long after Scout that through some great bordoodle breeders we know Georgia was picked. Hannah has assisted Andrea in the recent birth of Sadie's puppies and the raising of the puppies. Dave, Hannah and all the girls are excited to be on this journey.
